Haymarket doesn't care what size your carry-on is!

How does it work?

Simple! Print your Haymarket Passport or e-mail us for locations where you can pick up your free Passport!  Participating establishments will have copies available as well.

Then, bring your Haymarket Passport with you to any participating Haymarket business.  (It's small -- keep it in your purse, your car, etc.)  Show your Haymarket Passport to the cashier/waiter/waitress at the participating establishment following any purchase and the Passport is then stamped or initialed by the employee*.  Keep your receipts showing qualified purchase -- you can tuck them right into your Passport, this along with your stamped/initialed Passport will be your ticket to a Free Gift Certificate.

Does my Passport expire?

No rush!  All Haymarket Passports are valid until January 1, 2010.  Take your time, visit all Haymarket has to offer.  The idea is to enjoy your Town!

What are double stamp days?

The Town of Haymarket is hosting a few special events this year.  Be on the lookout for details and specials regarding "Double Stamp Days".  On these special days, each stamp/initial will be worth TWO (so you only need to collect 5 and your Passport is complete!)  Keep checking the Town of Haymarket's website for Double Stamp special alerts.  (hint: Apil and/or September may be extra special months!)

If I visit 30 businesses do I get 3 gift certificates?

If you visit 30 of our Town's wonderful participating businesses and make qualifying purchases, get all your stamps/initials, and complete the redemption form as noted below...why not?  You may even get a special recognition in the Town newsletter as a Seasoned Traveler!

How do I get my free gift certificate?

Once you have collected stamps/initials and receipts from ten different establishments in Haymarket, print and fill out the Redemption Form and drop your Passport and receipts in the mail.  If you are in Town you can even drop them by the Town Hall or Police Station.  Your gift certificate will be sent to you within 30 days of receipt.

*What's the fine print? There must be limitations, right?

Sure, but not many!  There is a limit of one stamp/initial per participating business (excluding 'double stamp days') -- we want you to visit all Haymarket has to offer. There is also a minimum purchase requirement of $5 for non-food establishments and $15 for food providers and restaurants.  You need to visit ten different Haymarket businesses before the end of the year.  Qualifying receipts will meet minimum purchase requirements and be dated from March 20, 2009 - December 31, 2009.

Which businesses are in the Passport?

All participating businesses are located right on the Passport.  You can also see a list of all Town Businesses by clicking here.  Businesses eligible for the Passport program are those which are located within Town limits.
